Mind Shifts and Accessing the Supernatural

To be fully aligned with God, one must have the right mindset, which refers to the established set of attitudes held by someone. Old ways of thinking and doing may not work in the new season, and it can be challenging for humans to embrace change. However, with God's help, breakthroughs can be achieved in this area. To be always aligned with God's perfect will, we must constantly perceive through the eyes and mind of Christ; change and evolve according to the Lord's teachings. Old ways of thinking and wrong ways of perceiving and executing will not be productive. We must be cautious of religious mindsets and seek the Lord's help to break them. We must also be careful of past wounds and unforgiveness to avoid clogging our perception. Praying for clarity and direction is useless if we cling to old ideas, traditions, wounds, and hurts. As we pray, we must release our soulish realm to be transformed. As we go through the other keys of repentance and restitution, obedience and total surrender, good character, and giving, we are already going through mind shifts and being prepared for a divine encounter that will bring further mind shifts in us.
Moses' Transformation in the Bible
Moses, a shepherd, encounters a burning bush on Mt. Horeb, the "mountain of God."
God introduces Himself to Moses, revealing His mission to free the people of Egypt.
Moses initially resists, arguing with God about the idea due to his perceived being a wanted man in Egypt.
God instructs Moses to take his "staff" to perform miraculous signs, which later becomes the "staff of God."
Moses returns to Egypt with his wife and sons, taking the staff of God, symbolizing his calling as a shepherd.
God transforms Moses' perspective on his staff, transforming it from a source of money to a symbol of power and authority from God.
Moses' staff becomes an instrument of transformation, demonstrating Moses' authority and transforming a people from slavery to freedom.
Paul's Out of Body Experience
In 2 Corinthians 12, Paul experienced an 'out of body' experience, revealing that he had never known so much about the Bible. He was caught up in paradise (third heaven) and heard unspeakable words. This was due to the unfamiliar terms used in heaven, which made sense in earthly mindsets.
Paul needed a mind shift to access and receive the supernatural. This experience was given to launch him forward into his destiny, as supernatural movements always precede moving into destiny.
Supernatural movements align with the prophecies and promises already present in the heavenly realm. To align with these promises, we need to make an action and make a mind shift. This experience serves as an example of how supernatural experiences can be a powerful tool for moving forward with God and aligning with His promises.
Mind shifts are essential for accessing the supernatural, as seen in Moses' case, and for allowing divine encounters. God uses a journey to guide us, shifting our minds in layers as we seek Him and allow Him to work in us.
Our life is a journey, as God has many locations and deep spiritual aspects to visit. He does not fix things for us in seconds, but rather takes us on a lifetime journey with the Lord to visit these different locations.
God does not give visitations just for the sake of it or to give us something spectacular to talk about. He wants us to exercise the dimension by visiting it, and this is not a one-off experience but a continuous lifetime journey.
By examining both Moses' and Paul's experiences, we can deduce that we need mind shifts to access the supernatural, and accessing the supernatural will give us further mind shifts. When we access the supernatural, we experience it for ourselves, rather than merely reading about it. God operates from a different realm, while we operate and think from an earthly realm, which is why we need mind shifts and divine encounters. In summary, mind shifts are necessary for accessing the supernatural and divine encounters, as demonstrated in the stories of Moses and Paul.
Take a look at Nathaniel from the book of John as an example. Nathaniel's good character, faith, and belief in God led him to meet Jesus. He received a word of knowledge from Jesus, believing in him. The Lord instructed him to look up at the ascending and descending angels, making the supernatural available to him. God chose Nathaniel for his good character and faith.
John 1:43-51, NKJV | 43 The following day Jesus wanted to go to Galilee, and He found Philip and said to him, “Follow Me.” 44 Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter. 45 Philip found Nathanael and said to him, “We have found Him of whom Moses in the law, and also the prophets, wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.” 46 And Nathanael said to him, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Philip said to him, “Come and see.” 47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward Him, and said of him, “Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit!” 48 Nathanael said to Him, “How do You know me?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.” 49 Nathanael answered and said to Him, “Rabbi, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!” 50 Jesus answered and said to him, “Because I said to you, ‘I saw you under the fig tree,’ do you believe? You will see greater things than these.” 51 And He said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, hereafter[a] you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.”

God has called us to change our mindset and renew our thoughts, as living by FAITH is essential for pleasing Him. He wants those who call on Him to believe in Him and trust that He rewards those who diligently seek after Him, as stated in Hebrews 10:38 and 11:6.
God is looking for people of faith. If you can renew your mind and thoughts towards the things of God, you can change your world. Changing your mindset can change your circumstances because your mind is powerful. It has the power to bring life or to bring destruction, because everything starts with a thought. How you think determines how you live.
Joshua 1:7-8 is a perfect example of how to change your mindset: 1) be strong and courageous; 2) be careful to obey the Bible; 3) do not turn from the Bible to the left or right; 4) do not let the Book of the Law depart from your mouth; and 5) meditate on the Word of God day and night.
The imagination of man is like a canvas, and what we imagine is painted on our minds. This imagination leads to beliefs, actions, and ultimately, change. To succeed, we must know who we are and defeat the first giant - our mindset. It's about becoming who God says we are, not based on others' opinions or opinions, but on how we see ourselves.
God promised victory and protection for you and your family, but your enemy will not let it happen. You must fight for the promises God has provided for you. Jesus has already destroyed the devil's works, so we must walk in our son-ship and exercise our authority over the enemy. The fight is fixed, and the outcome has already been declared through Jesus Christ. Keep moving forward towards your destiny, as others may depend on you, and get to your promised land.
God honors those who have faith in Him. To grow in faith, commit to following Him and don't hesitate to stretch your faith. Listening to God's Word and being around people who believe in Him can increase your faith. Living a life of faith takes time, but by committing to the Word, becoming a student, and applying it to your situations, change will come. Remember, all things are possible to those who trust God.
Israel's 'promised land' was originally intended as a theocracy where God would rule and live according to His principles. However, sin hindered the nation's fullness of blessings and highlighted the need for a Saviour to deliver man from sin and the world from the powers of darkness.
Jesus was a kingdom-minded figure, teaching about the Kingdom of Heaven, where God rules and His principles are implemented. In Heaven, sin, sickness, oppression, suffering, and darkness are absent. When Jesus came to earth, He brought His Kingdom with him, urging people to repent and believe in the Kingdom of God.
Change your way of thinking.

John 8:28, NKJV | 28 Then Jesus said to them, “When you lift[a] up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and that I do nothing of Myself; but as My Father taught Me, I speak these things.
John 14:24, NKJV | 24 He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.
Jesus' life of rest was in perfect alignment with His heavenly Father, allowing God's peace to settle on our circumstances. His healing touch brings restoration to physical, mental, and emotional health, and helps repair relationships, resolve long-standing issues, and deal with insecurities. We long for the rest these transformations will bring.
To see the Kingdom of God in our personal situations, Jesus emphasized the need for a spiritual rebirth and a change in our world-view. This rebirth is necessary for us to see spiritual truth and experience the Kingdom of God.
Our lifelong thinking patterns shape our worldview and circumstances. To align with God, we must change these patterns to mirror His, becoming kingdom-minded. The Greek word for 'repentance' entails changing our thinking, coupled with contrition and submission to the Lord.
Jesus emphasized the importance of changing our thinking to allow the Kingdom to invade our lives, as the realm of God's realm can invade our lives. Faulty thinking can lead to negative consequences, such as living in darkness or not achieving God's potential. It can also hinder faith and destiny.
Jesus, when asked about God's desires, emphasized that the real work is to believe in Him. Faith is a choice that requires application and persistence, starting with our thought processes. It requires effort to re-programme our habitual thinking patterns to foster healthy beliefs. This work is not an emotion, but a choice that needs to be developed through application and persistence. In essence, flawed thinking can hinder our ability to live a fulfilling life and fulfill our God-given potential.
Paul's letter to the Philippians emphasizes the importance of having the mind of Christ, a concept that is relevant today. He describes the humility of Christ, as Jesus, who was God, gave up all his rights and privileges to become one of us. Jesus was born in a humble, messy stable filled with animals, not a palace.
Paul's words serve as a reminder that we too should strive to embody the mind of Christ. Paul urges us to adopt the mindset of Jesus, which includes humility, submission to the Father's will, and perfect obedience. He acknowledges that cultivating this mindset is impossible, but believes it is already present in Christ Jesus.
Faith in Christ allows one to live the life of Christ, and the Holy Spirit is available to work on this transformation. Although it may not be comfortable, through Jesus' pain, we receive all the rights and privileges of being a child of God.
Ask the Lord about transformative work he wants to do in you, and how to better embody Christ's mind. Embrace humility, embracing self-emptiness and serving in God's kingdom. Submit to the Father and live in obedience to his will. The cross requires sacrifice, but it leads to salvation, resurrection, and eternal life.

Prayer
Lord, break my old mind set that no longer works in the new that you want to release to me. Help me identify the old ways of thinking, being, speaking, living, and doing that are not aligning with the new you are wanting to release. Show me how to execute in a brand new way, how to perceive and look at things through your eyes, and the wisdom to steward and navigate the new season. I ask for grace in order to be able to move forward and not be stuck in the past. I want to be revolutionary for the kingdom of God, but first, give me a complete change in my ways of thinking and methods of working. In Jesus name, I ask, Amen.
